The Postdoctoral Scholar is expected to:
(1) carry out independent research that harnesses the unique strengths of the ion microprobe;
(2) assist in instrument maintenance and training of visiting students and researchers in the facility; and
(3) participate in instrument and applications development.
We are seeking applicants with experience in geochemistry or related fields (geochronology, cosmochemistry,
biogeochemistry, material science, and/or environmental science). Experience in SIMS or other mass
spectrometry methods is desirable, but not mandatory, and ability to develop application software is a plus.
The position is available immediately and with an initial appointment for one year extendable to two
depending on performance and funding considerations.
